NIMPHEA – D4.4 Simulation of the electrochemical interface

NIMPHEA – D4.4 Simulation of the electrochemical interface

In January 2025, the NIMPHEA consortium released its deliverable D4.4: “Simulation of the Electrochemical Interface” led by CEA.

This new deliverable presents advanced computer models that simulate how the MEA works under real operating conditions. By reproducing what happens inside the cell, the models help scientists: explore how materials behave at high temperatures; study how water, gases, and electricity interact inside the cell; identify where performance losses occur and how to reduce them.

Simulations like these are powerful tools: they save time and resources, guide experiments, and help design better-performing cells. With these models, the NIMPHEA team is one step closer to creating lighter, more efficient fuel cells tailored for aviation needs.

The insights from this work will support the project’s next phases, where the models will be used to refine MEA designs and move toward practical demonstrations.

NIMPHEA – D5.3 Reference test results

NIMPHEA – D5.3 Reference test results

In January 2025, the NIMPHEA consortium released its deliverable D5.3 ‘Reference test results’.

This deliverable presents reference test results for state of the art High Temperature Membrane Electrode Assemblies (MEAs). The data includes iV curves recorded by three different partners using high-temperature PEM fuel cells.

The data of these tests  These results are a valuable resource for anyone working on fuel cell technologies.

NIMPHEA – D7.1 Communication and Dissemination Plan

NIMPHEA – D7.1 Communication and Dissemination Plan

In March 2023, the NIMPHEA project released its Communication and Dissemination Plan (D7.1). This document is a deliverable of the WP7 “Dissemination, Communication & Exploitation”.

The NIMPHEA Communication and Dissemination Plan (D7.1),  is a support document for the NIMPHEA partners to agree on an overall common strategy on how to communicate and record the dissemination
actions undertaken in the project.
It contains a detailed action plan covering the dissemination and communication activities to be carried out on project level over the duration of the project. The identified activities are based on the targeted audience and their expected impact. The Communication and Dissemination Plan will be implemented under the coordination of Safran PU.

The current document describes the dissemination activities and the communication channels that will be prepared within WP7 in order to reach the targeted stakeholders and to ensure that the project produces the impact identified in the Grant Agreement.

The overall objective of the Communication and Dissemination Plan is to:

  • Provide a comprehensive and consolidated guide on the NIMPHEA dissemination strategy and
    actions, and the indicators to measure the actions performed;
  • Ensure smooth and effective communication on the project achievements with the various
    stakeholders in the field of aeronautics, previously identified as potentially interested or directly
    concerned by the NIMPHEA results;
  • Provide helpful elements for establishing or tightening contacts, and building up collaborations with
    other projects and initiatives running in parallel and directly linked to, or potentially interested in,
    the project and its results;
  • Provide a basis for preparing the participation in, and organisation of, the final public workshop.
